


About the Role
The Supplier Quality Manager will be responsible for working with our Asia team and suppliers, ensuring we have the necessary quality assurance processes in place by managing NCRs/CAPAs and troubleshooting packaging or product-related quality issues across our supply chain. This individual will provide leadership and guidance to manufacturing overseas and must speak Mandarin or Cantonese.
Key Activities
Work closely with internal teams, manufacturers, and external testing partners to uphold our packaging quality standards.
Lead CSG quality assurance and quality control efforts across primary and secondary packaging produced by contract manufacturers.
Conduct audits of contract manufacturers and suppliers to ensure adherence to quality standards
Investigate and resolve quality issues, including product non-conformance, consumer complaints, and manufacturing deviations.
Lead root cause analyses and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) initiatives.
Support packaging testing protocols and documentation submissions, including Technical Drawing, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and Spec Sheet.
Establish and oversee quality and testing protocols across the packaging supply chain.
Serve as the primary point of contact, troubleshoot, and provide customers with prompt and effective problem resolution, ensuring that senior management is aware of customer-related issues/problems that may occur throughout packaging lifecycles.
Work closely with the US domestic quality team to align, where possible, the CSG processes and systems with those of the US domestic processes and systems.
Attend video conference meetings and contribute to planning and implementation of project goals and strategies; coordinate efforts between the U.S. headquarters in California and the overseas (China) team.
Preferred Skills
This role will require occasional travel to physically audit inventory and visit CMs to inspect product quality.
Deep understanding of CPG products, manufacturing processes, and related technical documentation.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in packaging, business, or applicable field is a plus.
7 or more years of Packaging or QA work experience in the personal care or packaging industry.
