About the Role
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing daily bakery production operations to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing. This role manages production staff, optimises processes, ensures compliance with food safety standards, and meets production targets while controlling costs and minimising waste.
Key Activities
Plan, organise, and oversee daily production activities to meet output, quality, and delivery targets.
Manage and supervise production staff, including bakers, operators, and line supervisors.
Ensure adherence to food safety regulations (HACCP, GMP, FSSAI/USDA/FDA as applicable).
Monitor product quality, consistency, and compliance with specifications.
Optimise production schedules to maximise efficiency and minimise downtime.
Coordinate with maintenance to ensure equipment is operational and preventive maintenance is performed.
Control raw material usage, reduce wastage, and manage inventory levels.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and company policies.
Collaborate with QA, supply chain, R&D, and sales teams for smooth operations.
Prepare production reports, KPIs, and performance metrics for management review.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Bakery Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in bakery or food manufacturing, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
Strong knowledge of bakery production processes (bread, buns, cakes, pastries, cookies, etc.).
