About the Role
The Shipping Supervisor will be responsible for shipping and logistics operations and managing warehouse teams.
Key Activities
Oversee daily shipping operations, including scheduling, routing, and carrier coordination.
Ensure timely and accurate shipments to major retailers, adhering to customer-specific routing and labelling requirements.
Collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to maintain accurate records and inventory levels.
Develop and implement efficient shipping and logistics strategies to improve productivity and reduce costs.
Monitor carrier performance and resolve issues related to delays, damage, or non-compliance.
Maintain shipping documentation, records, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.
Preferred Skills
Experience with ERP or WMS systems
Knowledge of EDI shipping processes
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
Education and Experience
3+ years of experience in a shipping/logistics management role, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment
Experience working with major retailer accounts, specifically in freight ROUTING systems and following custom labelling requirements (e.g., Walmart, Target, Costco, Kroger, PetSmart, Amazon, etc.)
Strong understanding of routing guides, freight logistics, and compliance procedures
Proficient with shipping software and systems (e.g., UPS, FedEx, LTL carriers)
Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
