About the Role
The Production Supervisor will be responsible for managing the facility during weekend shifts to ensure adherence to safety, quality, maintenance and security standards.
Key Activities
Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of personnel involved in card manufacturing.
Partner with maintenance technicians to perform required machine maintenance and repairs.
Monitor productivity levels, production standards, and quality control metrics to ensure optimal performance.
Review and resolve issues related to product quality or functionality during production and inspection.
Track, analyse, and minimise production waste to support efficient material usage.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement enhancements to increase efficiency and quality.
Communicate regularly with upper management regarding production challenges, delays, or other operational impacts.
Participate in the month‑end inventory by counting raw materials and work‑in‑progress as needed.
Enforce all safety, health, environmental, and quality policies in the production area.
Motivate, support, and guide production staff to meet performance expectations.
Set productivity goals for each team and assess performance against these goals on a consistent basis.
Achieve manufacturing results by clearly communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and evaluating performance; providing coaching and disciplinary action as necessary; and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager or other authorised leadership.
Preferred Skills
Printing and Finishing industry experience preferred.
Lean manufacturing methodologies and practice experience preferred.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Demonstrated skill in the development of leaders, managing multiple teams across shifts in a manufacturing environment, and making process improvements.
