About the Role

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for managing the facility during weekend shifts to ensure adherence to safety, quality, maintenance and security standards.

Key Activities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of personnel involved in card manufacturing.

  • Partner with maintenance technicians to perform required machine maintenance and repairs.

  • Monitor productivity levels, production standards, and quality control metrics to ensure optimal performance.

  • Review and resolve issues related to product quality or functionality during production and inspection.

  • Track, analyse, and minimise production waste to support efficient material usage.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement enhancements to increase efficiency and quality.

  • Communicate regularly with upper management regarding production challenges, delays, or other operational impacts.

  • Participate in the month‑end inventory by counting raw materials and work‑in‑progress as needed.

  • Enforce all safety, health, environmental, and quality policies in the production area.

  • Motivate, support, and guide production staff to meet performance expectations.

  • Set productivity goals for each team and assess performance against these goals on a consistent basis.

  • Achieve manufacturing results by clearly communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and evaluating performance; providing coaching and disciplinary action as necessary; and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager or other authorised leadership.

Preferred Skills

  • Printing and Finishing industry experience preferred.

  • Lean manufacturing methodologies and practice experience preferred.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

  • Demonstrated skill in the development of leaders, managing multiple teams across shifts in a manufacturing environment, and making process improvements.
