About the Role
The Gluer Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining gluing and finishing equipment to produce high-quality packaging products. This role ensures machines operate efficiently, products meet quality standards, and production goals are achieved safely and on schedule.
Key Activities
Set up, operate, and adjust gluing/folding equipment according to job specifications.
Monitor machine performance, production speed, and product quality throughout the production run.
Perform quality checks to ensure proper glue application, alignment, folding, and finished product specifications.
Troubleshoot minor mechanical, equipment, and production issues and report major problems to maintenance or supervision.
Load materials and ensure adequate supplies are available during production.
Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
Complete production, quality, and downtime documentation accurately.
Follow all safety, quality, GMP, and housekeeping procedures.
Work closely with production team members, supervisors, and maintenance personnel to minimize downtime.
Maintain an organized and clean work area.
Preferred Skills
Experience in corrugated, folding carton, paperboard, or flexible packaging manufacturing.
Knowledge of adhesives, glue systems, and quality inspection procedures.
Experience with machine setup, changeovers, and production troubleshooting.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience operating folder-gluer, gluing, converting, printing, packaging, or similar manufacturing equipment preferred.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
