About the Role

The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for conducting chemical and physical analyses related to snack processing operations. This role provides essential technical support to management and ensures quality control through various laboratory functions.

Key Activities

  • Perform all necessary laboratory analyses, demonstrating technical competency.

  • Maintain general familiarity with all laboratory equipment, chemicals, and reagents.

  • Collect, prepare, and organise samples for analysis.

  • Accountable for raw materials inspections and sampling on each lot before processing.

  • Conduct allergen inspections of equipment in the area of responsibility to prevent cross-contamination.

  • Organise work, conduct analyses, and professionally assure timely reporting.

  • Perform necessary calculations and enter data onto SPC charts and graphs for decision-making.

  • Interpret data and provide feedback on snack processing conditions to supervision.

  • Monitor inventory of laboratory supplies and report status to management.

  • Maintain a clean, neat, and organised working environment.

  • Ensure safety when working with chemicals and follow Good Laboratory Practices.

  • Perform other assigned duties, including training and implementing QA-related training programs.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with wet chemistry, microbiology, or analytical testing.

  • Exposure to instruments such as HPLC, GC, UV, or titration methods.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or sciences.

  • Minimum of one-year laboratory work experience and/or in a quality-related field.
