About the Role

The Quality Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality systems to ensure corrugated products meet customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and internal standards. This role oversees quality assurance and quality control activities across corrugation, converting, and finishing operations, driving continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Key Activities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems (QMS) for corrugated operations.

  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, industry standards, and internal quality policies.

  • Oversee quality control activities for corrugation, printing, die-cutting, slotting, and finishing.

  • Monitor critical quality parameters: GSM, BF/ECT, flute profiles, bond strength, moisture, warp, and print quality.

  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.

  • Handle customer complaints, claims, and quality audits.

  • Coordinate internal and external audits (ISO 9001, FSC, BRC/IOP if applicable).

  • Work closely with Production, Maintenance, and Procurement to improve quality and reduce defects.

  • Establish and monitor quality KPIs, reports, and dashboards.

  • Manage and mentor QA/QC inspectors and lab technicians.

  • Ensure calibration and maintenance of testing equipment.

  • Control documentation, SOPs, work instructions, and records.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives and standardisation across the plant.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, GMP, and housekeeping (5S) standards.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, FSC, BRC/IOP, and customer-specific standards.

  • Strong understanding of SPC, CAPA, root cause analysis tools (5 Why, Fishbone).

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Packaging, Paper Technology, or related field.

  • 5–10 years of experience in quality management within the corrugated packaging industry.

  • Strong exposure to corrugation and box plant quality processes.
