


About the Role
This Plant Superintendent will oversee production, packaging, and maintenance across two shifts while driving safety, quality, efficiency, and team development. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader, fluent in Spanish and English, with a strong ability to hire, train, and develop high-performing teams in a food manufacturing environment.
Key Activities
Oversee daily operations across production, packaging, and maintenance departments.
Ensure production schedules, throughput targets, and service levels are consistently met.
Drive operational efficiency, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with QA and Food Safety teams to ensure strict adherence to RTE food safety standards.
Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and frontline teams across two shifts.
Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and retain production, packaging, and maintenance staff.
Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
Conduct performance reviews, corrective actions, and succession planning.
Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability.
Partner with maintenance leadership to minimise downtime and improve asset performance.
Support capital improvement projects and equipment installations.
Champion workplace safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
Maintain compliance with food safety, GMPs, HACCP, SQF/BRC, and RTE regulatory requirements.
Lead investigations related to safety, quality, or production incidents.
Preferred Skills
Solid understanding of food safety systems (HACCP, GMPs, SQF/BRC).
Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organisational skills.
Education and Experience
5+ years of progressive leadership experience in food manufacturing (RTE strongly preferred).
Proven experience overseeing production, packaging, and maintenance teams.
Experience managing multiple shifts in a high-volume environment.
Strong background in hiring, training, and developing frontline leaders and teams.
Bilingual: English & Spanish (required).
