About the Role

This Plant Superintendent will oversee production, packaging, and maintenance across two shifts while driving safety, quality, efficiency, and team development. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader, fluent in Spanish and English, with a strong ability to hire, train, and develop high-performing teams in a food manufacturing environment.

Key Activities

  • Oversee daily operations across production, packaging, and maintenance departments.

  • Ensure production schedules, throughput targets, and service levels are consistently met.

  • Drive operational efficiency, waste reduction, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Collaborate with QA and Food Safety teams to ensure strict adherence to RTE food safety standards.

  • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and frontline teams across two shifts.

  • Recruit, hire, onboard, train, and retain production, packaging, and maintenance staff.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.

  • Conduct performance reviews, corrective actions, and succession planning.

  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability.

  • Partner with maintenance leadership to minimise downtime and improve asset performance.

  • Support capital improvement projects and equipment installations.

  • Champion workplace safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.

  • Maintain compliance with food safety, GMPs, HACCP, SQF/BRC, and RTE regulatory requirements.

  • Lead investigations related to safety, quality, or production incidents.

Preferred Skills

  • Solid understanding of food safety systems (HACCP, GMPs, SQF/BRC).

  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organisational skills.

Education and Experience

  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in food manufacturing (RTE strongly preferred).

  • Proven experience overseeing production, packaging, and maintenance teams.

  • Experience managing multiple shifts in a high-volume environment.

  • Strong background in hiring, training, and developing frontline leaders and teams.

  • Bilingual: English & Spanish (required).
