


About the Role
The Warehousing & Inventory Supervisor will oversee and direct the movement of inventory and monitor shipping activities. Position researches and resolves issues, oversees external warehousing staff to ensure customer service and timelines are met, and directs shipping and warehousing. This role is also responsible for maintaining, adjusting, and reporting an accurate inventory of all products.
Key Activities
Oversee the operations of the external warehouses. This includes overseeing:
o Training leads and forklift operators
o Inventory accuracy
o Warehouse organisation, cleanliness, and sanitation
o Inbound and outbound orders
o Safety compliance
o Process improvement
o Equipment oversight
o Reporting and monitoring KPIs
Control finished goods inventory by conducting daily audits, cycle counting, reconciliation, and resolving discrepancies.
Direct the movement of all finished goods inventory for external warehousing, including the location of product in specific warehouses based on storage requirements, dwell time, room capacities, and shipping needs.
Research product history, movement, and shipment history, and resolve shipping problems.
Monitor shipping activities and resolve product issues, including products on hold and shelf-life issues.
Manage and communicate goals and objectives for direct reports while supporting their development through on-the-floor coaching, continuous monitoring of daily performance, and monthly 1-1s that evaluate job results. Oversee workforce scheduling, maintain strong customer service standards, and drive overall operational efficiency within the team.
Document Control: Develop and implement SOPs and SSOPs relevant to the area of responsibility. Ensure appropriate documents are stored and approved within the Intelex system. Ensure appropriate personnel are adequately trained on all relevant approved documents.
GMPs: Ensure compliance with and enforcement of all company policies and procedures concerning GMPs, food safety and all appropriate pre-requisite programs.
Maintain regular attendance and work an appropriate number of hours to complete the essential functions.
Implement process improvements to the warehouse operations.
Preferred Skills
Supervisory experience in a food manufacturing facility is preferred.
Forklift Certified.
Education and Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory control, shipping, logistics, or related field.
An associate’s degree in business is preferred.
