


About the Role
The Maintenance Lead will be responsible for overseeing all maintenance activities within the corrugated manufacturing facility. This position ensures that all machinery, equipment, and building systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. The Maintenance Lead leads the maintenance team in executing preventive and corrective maintenance programs, managing parts inventory, and driving continuous improvement in equipment performance and plant reliability.
Key Activities
Plan, schedule, and oversee all preventative and predictive maintenance (PM) activities to minimise unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.
Lead troubleshooting and repair efforts for electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems across all production equipment.
Repair or replace defective parts and components as needed to maintain operational reliability.
Set up and operate welding, drilling, grinding, and other metalworking equipment to fabricate and repair machine parts.
Oversee equipment installations, line setups, and changeovers to support production requirements.
Manage and maintain spare parts and maintenance supply inventory to ensure timely and efficient repairs.
Supervise and train maintenance technicians to ensure safe and effective performance of maintenance duties.
Maintain a clean, organised, and safe maintenance shop and working environment.
Recommend and implement measures to improve production efficiency, equipment performance, and product quality.
Ensure all equipment and tools are tested, repaired, and operated in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Enforce proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) and other safety procedures.
Oversee facility maintenance, including preventive maintenance and repairs on doors, docks, lighting, and building systems.
Preferred Skills
Strong knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electro-mechanical, and automation systems.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and leadership abilities to guide and motivate team members.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance or related field preferred.
Proven experience in equipment repair and maintenance, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
Demonstrated experience leading or supervising a maintenance team in a manufacturing environment.
