About the Role
The Senior Accountant will support the Accounting department in identifying opportunities for improvement of operational results. Must possess strong MS Excel capabilities.
Key Activities
Complete bank account reconciliations, efficiently reporting and addressing any deficiencies.
Utilising processes and systems, manages cash projections that accurately forecast plant cash flow.
Manage and execute the weekly payment process.
Perform various month-end reconciliations.
Using MS Excel, create worksheets and pivot tables to analyse, interpret and report findings and recommendations.
Efficiently and accurately updates and manages the intercompany tracking of sales.
Make accurate and timely cash journal entries.
Complete the calculation of broker commissions and reconciliations.
Execute quarterly royalty payments.
Participate in the year-end Inventory.
Communicate with other departments within the organisation to identify efficiency issues, develop solutions and implement changes.
Assist with auditors’ requests as assigned.
Knowledgeable with US GAAP.
Other duties as assigned.
Preferred Skills
Strong MS Excel skills, including demonstrated efficiency in using, creating and de-bugging pivot tables.
Excellent quantitative, written, and verbal communication skills.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting or related field and at least 3 – 5 years of directly related experience, or the equivalent combination.
At least 3 – 5 years’ experience working within a manufacturing environment.
