About the Role
The Manager – ISO Coordination is responsible for leading and overseeing all ISO-related activities within the organisation. This role ensures compliance with ISO standards, manages audits, maintains documentation systems, and drives continuous improvement initiatives across departments.
Key Activities
Coordinate day-ahead and real-time market submissions for energy, capacity, and ancillary services.
Ensure accurate scheduling of generation and load resources across PJM, NYISO, ISO-NE, MISO, and ERCOT.
Monitor real-time system conditions and respond to ISO dispatch instructions.
Maintain compliance with ISO tariffs, market rules, and reliability standards.
Analyse market trends, pricing mechanisms, and transmission constraints.
Prepare reports on ISO settlements, congestion costs, and financial impacts.
Support forecasting for load, generation, and renewable integration.
Participate in ISO stakeholder meetings, working groups, and advocacy forums.
Monitor and communicate rule changes and their commercial implications.
Identify and mitigate operational and financial risks related to ISO transactions.
Collaborate with trading, origination, and risk teams to optimise positions.
Identify and resolve discrepancies, disputes, and variance issues with the ISO/RTO and market participants.
Preferred Skills
Proficiency in energy scheduling platforms and ISO portals.
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Economics or related field.
Must have a minimum of 3+ years of ISO/RTO operations or energy markets experience; familiarity with PJM, NYISO, ISONE, ERCOT, or FERC is preferred.
