


About the Role
The Sanitation Supervisor will oversee all sanitation operations within the plant to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and environmental standards. This role supervises sanitation staff, provides training and performance feedback, and ensures that all cleaning and sanitation procedures comply with regulatory requirements, including OSHA, FDA, EPA, SQF, and GMP standards, to maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant production environment.
Key Activities
Develops and monitors a cleaning routine plan for daily, weekly, and monthly sanitation (Master Sanitation Schedule) in all parts of the plant.
Develops and implements all sanitation-related procedures and audits to ensure procedures are properly followed.
Manages schedules to support CIP (Clean-in-Place) operations.
Ensures compliance with the cleaning routine plan through routine observations, monthly walk-through inspections, and tracking of sanitation work orders.
Provides shift-focused supervision to sanitation employees.
Communicates regularly with employees to ensure understanding of daily sanitation schedules, key issues, and challenges.
Manages cleaning and basic repair activities in accordance with food safety, food quality, and environmental safety regulations.
Ensures all work activities are properly documented and compliant with standards and regulations.
Ensures that all food safety and food quality standards are consistently met or exceeded.
Maintains a clean, safe, and positive work environment.
Identifies problems or bottlenecks in sanitation processes and resolves issues efficiently.
Ensures implementation of food quality and food safety standards, regulations, GMP, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Identifies and documents employee skills, performance opportunities, learning needs, and attendance of sanitation associates.
Ensures all sanitation associates, including temporary employees, receive proper training on required standards and procedures.
Manages chemical inventory used for sanitation operations.
Oversees the Facility Color Coding Program.
Completes quarterly trend reports for sanitation-managed programs.
Prepares and submits monthly sanitation reports.
Manages and completes the Environmental Monitoring Program.
Participates in internal and external audits.
Preferred Skills
HAACP highly preferred certification.
Proficient in cleaning of food contact surfaces including but not limited to CIP/COP systems.Â
Education and Experience
2-5 years supervisory experience in sanitation or related discipline in the beverage or related food industry.Â
Must be Scrubber Certified. (To include proper transportation procedures.)
 Must be able to develop SSOPs and Sanitation Procedures.
