About the Role

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the optimal functioning and reliability of our equipment and machinery, contributing to the overall productivity and efficiency of our operations.

Key Activities

  • Supervise and direct the maintenance team on day-to-day operations of the maintenance activity, including determining needed repairs and improvements

  • Maintain the facility and assets to meet all regulatory guidelines (USDA, FDA, OSHA, EPA)

  • Manager maintenance costs for the plant and department budget

  • Work closely with the reliability engineer to help ensure the department is working efficiently

  • Conducts preventative maintenance and follow-through

  • Provides guidance on cleaning procedures for plant equipment and support systems

  • Maintain accurate records of work orders, maintenance schedules, and other incidental reporting

  • Monitor and maintain safe operations

  • Conduct safety training and ensure proper safety and sanitation guidelines are followed

  • Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities without disrupting production or operations

Preferred Skills

  • Strong understanding of equipment and machinery maintenance practices, including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair techniques.

  • Familiar with relevant industry standards and regulations.

Education and Experience

  • 6-8 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Proven experience as a Maintenance Manager or similar role within a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in the food manufacturing industry.

  • Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school Bachelor Degree in Engineering or a related field.
