About the Role
This Shipping and Receiving Coordinator will ensure the timely and accurate movement of goods, maintain documentation, and support warehouse organisation. The coordinator will work closely with two drivers and must be bilingual and capable of operating a forklift.
Key Activities
Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Load and unload trucks using a forklift and other material handling equipment.
Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and report discrepancies.
Prepare shipping documents, including bills of lading and shipment tickets.
Serve as the point of contact for two drivers, assisting with scheduling and task coordination.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff, drivers, and other departments.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, receipts, and inventory movements.
Ensure compliance with company procedures and customer requirements (e.g., ASNs, chain-of-custody for FSC materials).
Support warehouse layout, optimisation, and cleanliness.
Assist in inventory counts and space utilisation efforts.
Perform basic quality checks on incoming and outgoing materials.
Follow all safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.
Preferred Skills
Bilingual (English and Spanish preferred).
Forklift operation experience required; certification preferred. (Willingness to be trained and obtain certification is acceptable.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
Experience coordinating with drivers or logistics teams is preferred.
