About the Role
The Director of Quality is responsible for leading the organisation’s quality strategy, ensuring products meet regulatory, customer, and internal quality standards. This role oversees quality assurance, quality control, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
Key Activities
Develop and implement the company’s quality management strategy and policies.
Lead Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) teams across manufacturing operations.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and customer specifications.
Establish and maintain a Quality Management System (QMS).
Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Root Cause Analysis.
Oversee internal audits, external audits, and customer audits.
Manage corrective and preventive action (CAPA) programs to address quality issues.
Monitor key quality metrics and implement actions to improve product quality and reduce defects.
Partner with operations, R&D, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure quality throughout the product lifecycle.
Lead supplier quality programs, including supplier qualification, evaluation, and performance monitoring.
Ensure proper documentation, testing, inspection, and validation procedures are followed.
Provide leadership, mentoring, and development for the quality team.
Preferred Skills
Multi-plant experience would be an asset.
USDA regulations, BRC, and Food Safety.

7+ years of experience.
Must have meat experience in an RTE environment.
Must have a relevant degree (science, quality).
