


About the Role
The HR Director will be responsible for employee relations, compliance, labour management, recruiting, training, and HR systems, with limited administrative support.
Key Activities
Model and promote a servant leadership philosophy.
Build trust with frontline employees, supervisors, and leadership teams.
Foster an adaptable HR function supporting operational needs.
Drive engagement, retention, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Handle employee relations, investigations, discipline, and terminations.
Coach supervisors on effective people leadership and documentation.
Promote a respectful and inclusive workplace culture.
Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
Manage audits, inquiries, and regulatory reporting.
Work with the Safety Director on workers’ compensation and ensuring employee safety
Handle unemployment, DOL inquiries, FMLA/NE leave notices, and programs.
Lead recruiting and hiring for hourly and salaried roles.
Develop onboarding, training, and retention programs.
Partner with operations on workforce planning.
Manage compensation and benefits programs.
Oversee HRIS and personnel records.
Develop HR policies and handbook updates.
Preferred Skills
SHRM or PHR/SPHR certification.
Experience in manufacturing environments in a Director role
Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desired.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
7–12+ years of HR leadership experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
Strong knowledge of employment law and employee relations.
