About the Role

The National Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening strategic customer relationships, and identifying new market opportunities within retail, foodservice, and private label segments.

Key Activities

  • Develop and execute national sales strategies to drive revenue growth across retail, foodservice, and private label channels.

  • Manage and grow key customer relationships, including national and regional accounts.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including private label and strategic partnerships.

  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategies, and customer agreements to ensure profitability and long-term success.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and marketing to align production capabilities with customer needs.

  • Analyse market trends, competitive activity, and customer insights to inform go-to-market strategies.

  • Forecast sales performance and manage pipeline activity to meet and exceed targets.

  • Represent the organisation at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.

  • Provide leadership and direction to internal and external sales resources as needed.

Preferred Skills

  • Background in protein, poultry, meat, or perishable food categories.

  • Experience working within vertically integrated or manufacturing-driven organisations.

  • Exposure to commodity-based pricing environments and supply-demand dynamics.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field, preferred.

  • 7+ years of progressive sales experience within food, protein, or CPG manufacturing environments.

  • Proven track record of managing and growing national or regional accounts.

  • Experience selling into retail, foodservice, and/or private label channels.
