


About the Role
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical equipment and machinery within the facility. This role ensures that all production and facility equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime.
Key Activities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production equipment, including mixers, conveyors, boilers, and packaging machines.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to minimise downtime.
Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to ensure accurate assembly, maintenance, and repair of equipment.
Adjust and calibrate equipment to ensure consistent product quality.
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, including HACCP and GMP.
Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and parts usage.
Collaborate with production teams to address equipment-related challenges.
Preferred Skills
Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and hand tools.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Education and Experience
Experience in industrial mechanics, preferably in food manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
Expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
High school diploma or equivalent.
