About the Role

This Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the efficient, effective, and safe execution of all daily preventative maintenance and repairs taking place within the Meat and Seafood Production Rooms, all Warehouse and Product Storage Coolers/Freezers, and Dock and Logistics areas while ensuring timelines are met, quality standards are achieved, and downtime is avoided/limited.

Key Activities

  • Visibly engaged and supportive team member with ownership of well-designed SOP’s, proactive analytics and planning.

  • Strong time management skills to keep the facility and all Manufacturing equipment in top working order while keeping a focus on the department's budgetary considerations.

  • Value company best practices and model behaviour consistent with Company Core Values.

  • Communicate and coordinate cross-departmental functions with Operations Production Manager, FSQA, and Department Production Supervisors to address opportunities and contribute to solutions.

  • Maintain environments in all production, storage, common, and maintenance areas that are safe and conducive to successful, efficient Manufacturing and Warehousing.

  • Participates in a positive, collaborative, yet structured culture where Continuous Process Improvement Initiatives, Company Goals, and Platinum-Standard Customer Satisfaction are achieved.

Preferred Skills

  • Mechanically inclined.

Education and Experience

  • 2-3 years of maintenance experience preferred.

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more.

  • Must be able to be on their feet 8 hours a day.

  • Must be able to bend at the waist repeatedly.
