About the Role
The Electro-Mechanical Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment that combines electrical and mechanical components. This role ensures optimal performance of machinery and minimises downtime in manufacturing or industrial environments.
Key Activities
Complete work and repair orders in a timely fashion.
Provide innovative solutions to improve plant efficiency.
Evaluate and estimate the extent of necessary repairs and the time needed to complete them.
Conduct routine preventive maintenance on the plant.
Maintain materials and supplies inventories.
Oversee work performed by outside contractors as necessary.
Follow safety protocols.
Preferred Skills
Ability to handle physical workload.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Deadline-oriented and detail-oriented.
Education and Experience
High competence working with tools and equipment.
Experience reading blueprints and schematics.
Experience repairing industrial equipment, including pumps, gearboxes and extruders.
Experience working with electrical equipment preferred (480V, 3-phase systems).
