


About the Role
The Maintenance Technician will be the primary technical owner of the HP PageWide C500 digital corrugated press. This role is the first responder to all press downtime events and is accountable for maximising press availability through proactive maintenance, rapid fault diagnosis, and direct collaboration with HP technical support.
Key Activities
First responder to all C500 downtime events — assess, diagnose, and initiate corrective action immediately.
Track and report press uptime, downtime trends, and root cause findings against production OEE targets.
Own HP support escalations end-to-end — open tickets, provide fault data, coordinate on-site visits, and confirm resolution.
Maintain a downtime log with root cause and corrective/preventive actions documented.
Identify recurring failure patterns and drive permanent corrective actions.
Manage critical spare parts inventory to minimise mean time to repair (MTTR).
Coordinate with operators to ensure all scheduled PMs are completed on time; assist with PM execution as needed.
Maintain PM schedule covering mechanical, electrical, ink system, and printhead components.
Inspect and service printheads, ink delivery systems, belt/feed systems, and board handling components.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and ink system faults using HP diagnostic tools and documentation.
Interpret fault codes, alarm histories, and print quality issues to identify root cause and drive resolution.
Perform component-level repairs — printheads, drive systems, sensors, and ink system components.
Support HP field service engineers during on-site visits; verify all work before returning press to production
HP Technical Support Liaison.
Serve as the primary facility contact with HP support for all C500 service needs.
Manage all HP service tickets from open to close; escalate priority cases to minimise downtime.
Review and implement HP service bulletins, advisories, and software updates.
Cultivate a strong working relationship with the HP service team for fast, effective response.
Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with PM and corrective maintenance on other production equipment.
Preferred Skills
Experience with HP PageWide or industrial inkjet printing systems.
Background in corrugated or packaging equipment maintenance.
Familiarity with CMMS, OEE principles, and reliability-centred maintenance (RCM).
Education and Experience
3-5 years of hands-on industrial equipment maintenance experience.
High school diploma or GED; technical degree or trade certification preferred.
Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
