About the Role
The Purchaser will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, products, and services required for company operations. This role ensures cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality standards, inventory levels, and timely delivery schedules.
Key Activities
Source and purchase materials, supplies, equipment, and services.
Evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, delivery, and reliability.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with vendors.
Create and manage purchase orders and procurement records.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate replenishment activities.
Track shipments and ensure on-time delivery of goods.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and internal departments.
Resolve issues related to delayed shipments, shortages, or quality concerns.
Analyse purchasing trends and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.
Coordinate with warehouse, production, logistics, and finance teams.
Prepare purchasing reports and maintain accurate documentation.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of inventory control and supply chain processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Procurement, or related field preferred.
2+ years of purchasing or procurement experience.
Must have experienced buying meet - lamb, beef etc.
