About the Role

The QA Manager will oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems to ensure product safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. The Quality Assurance Manager will play a critical leadership role in supporting facility startup activities, aseptic process validation, commercialization, customer requirements, and ongoing food safety initiatives.

Key Activities

  • Lead and manage all Quality Assurance and Food Safety functions within the facility.

  • Establish and maintain a strong food safety culture across manufacturing, sanitation, warehousing, and operations teams.

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve Quality Management Systems (QMS) to support operational excellence and regulatory compliance.

  • Serve as the site's Quality and Food Safety subject matter expert.

  • Maintain and continuously improve HACCP, Preventive Controls, GMP, FSMA, Organic, and GFSI-compliant food safety systems.

  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, customer requirements, and third-party certification standards, including BRCGS.

  • Lead environmental monitoring programs and microbiological control strategies.

  • Manage allergen control, sanitation verification, supplier quality, traceability, and recall preparedness programs.

  • Ensure all quality documentation, SOPs, specifications, and records remain audit-ready.

  • Oversee aseptic process validation, sterility assurance programs, and process verification activities.

  • Support the startup, commissioning, qualification, and commercialization of aseptic beverage production lines.

  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, and R&D teams during facility ramp-up activities.

  • Monitor critical process controls to ensure product safety and process reliability.

  • Lead investigations related to microbiological excursions, environmental monitoring results, and process deviations.

Preferred Skills

  • Better Process Control School (BPCS) Certification preferred.

  • PCQI (Preventive Controls Qualified Individual) preferred.

  • HACCP Certification preferred.

  • Internal Auditor Certification preferred.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering, or related scientific discipline required. Master's Degree preferred.

  • Minimum 5–7 years of progressive Quality Assurance leadership experience within food, beverage, dairy, nutritional, or aseptic manufacturing environments.

  • Direct experience within FDA-regulated manufacturing environments.
