About the Role
The Production Supervisor will be Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Key Activities
Coach and cross-train Lead employees in development and future growth.
Trains employees on proper machine usage.
Assigns employees to machines.
Signs people off on machines that they have been trained on.
Assists in rewarding, disciplining, and directing employees in the production area.
Maintain inventory levels and some purchasing.
Data entry.
Assists with research and development.
Drives company directives towards continuous improvement.
Demonstrates a clear understanding of production scheduling and inventory.
Assists with the management of 80-100 production employees and temporary staffing in the Production Department.
Responsible for assisting with the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
Preferred Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak individually or in a group setting.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
10+ years as a team leader, related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
