About the Role

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, market expansion, and customer development within the seafood category across an assigned region. This role manages key accounts, develops new business opportunities, and collaborates with operations, supply chain, and marketing teams to achieve revenue and profitability objectives.

Key Activities

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve revenue, volume, and profit targets.

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities within retail, foodservice, wholesale, and seafood distribution channels.

  • Expand market share for fresh, frozen, and value-added seafood products.

  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, buyers, category managers, and distributors.

  • Conduct regular customer visits, presentations, and business reviews.

  • Manage strategic customer accounts and negotiate pricing, contracts, and promotional programs.

  • Analyze customer performance and identify growth opportunities.

  • Resolve customer issues related to product quality, delivery, inventory, and service.

  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Maintain deep knowledge of seafood species, sourcing, seasonality, market trends, pricing fluctuations, and competitive activity.

  • Monitor industry trends and customer demands to identify emerging opportunities.

  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams regarding inventory planning and product availability.

  • Partner with marketing teams on promotional initiatives and category growth strategies.

  • Work closely with operations, logistics, quality assurance, and customer service teams to ensure successful execution.

  • Support product launches and customer onboarding activities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with major retailers, foodservice operators, seafood distributors, or grocery chains.

  • Knowledge of seafood sustainability programs, HACCP, FDA regulations, and food safety standards.

  • Existing industry relationships within the seafood market.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.

  • 5+ years of sales experience within the seafood, protein, food manufacturing, food distribution, or foodservice industry.

  • Proven experience selling fresh, frozen, or value-added seafood products.
