About the Role

The Electricians will be responsible for ensuring that the work is in accordance with relevant codes. May install or service street lights, intercom systems, or electrical control systems.

Key Activities

  • Check the iMaint work orders system daily for PM and non-PM work orders, and add work orders for previously completed work that needs to be documented on equipment for which records need to be kept.

  • Follow company safety policies to safely perform maintenance such as lock out/tag out (LOTO), personal protective equipment (PPE), confined space, etc.

  • Keep the workspace clean and organized.

  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.

  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.

  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.

  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.

  • Advise management on whether the continued operation of the equipment could be hazardous.

  • Test electrical systems and circuit continuity in wiring, equipment, and fixtures using instruments such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure system compatibility and safety.

  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Commit to enhancing the reputation of our products and maintaining consumer confidence in our products through the development and implementation of written safety, legal, and quality food safety systems, programs, and practices.

  • Maintain and service metal detectors.

  • Must be able to work without close supervision and have strong independent time management skills.

  • Must maintain an excellent attendance record.

  • Must follow all safety procedures and requirements.

Preferred Skills

  • Manufacturing, food processing, packaging, automotive, aerospace, or industrial facility experience.

  • Experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.).

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED preferred, not required.

  • 1-3 years of experience preferred.
