About the Role

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement. This role will provide hands-on leadership to production personnel, coordinate resources across departments, and drive operational performance within a fast-paced corrugated packaging facility.

Key Activities

  • Lead and support production employees to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and delivery objectives.

  • Monitor daily manufacturing performance and address operational challenges to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.

  • Assign personnel based on production requirements and operational priorities.

  • Assist with workforce planning, scheduling, and overtime coordination.

  • Ensure production schedules are executed efficiently and customer delivery requirements are met.

  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture throughout the operation.

  • Investigate workplace incidents, complete required documentation, and coordinate corrective actions.

  • Administer first aid and emergency response procedures when necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.

  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback to production employees.

  • Recognize and reward strong employee performance.

  • Address attendance concerns, policy violations, and performance issues through appropriate corrective action processes.

  • Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work environment.

  • Collaborate closely with maintenance, quality, scheduling, and production teams to ensure seamless operations.

  • Participate in daily production meetings, safety discussions, maintenance reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Communicate operational priorities, staffing needs, and production challenges across departments.

  • Support employee training and development efforts.

  • Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, productivity, and operational effectiveness.

  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Support the implementation of process improvements and best practices throughout the facility.

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency with manufacturing systems and production reporting tools.

  • Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence experience is preferred.

Education and Experience

  • Previous supervisory experience within a corrugated packaging, paper converting, or related manufacturing environment.

  • Strong understanding of corrugating and converting operations.

  • Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
