About the Role

The Sales and Marketing Manager will be responsible for overall strategic and profitable management of the company’s fertile egg business, especially in new target markets. This person will work with the Vice President to define long-term organizational strategic goals, as well as research and develop new business opportunities that generate revenue and create financial growth for the Group.

Key Activities

  • Explore and maintain new and existing business opportunities for the company in the USA, Latin America, and the Caribbean (Potential existing product line expansion and developing new product lines, potential investment opportunities related to the Group’s agricultural business).

  • Develop and lead the sales and marketing teams in the achievement of their targets and objectives.

  • Collaborate with each team to review key business, strategic, and engagement objectives on given assignments during weekly or monthly meetings.

  • Set agreed performance, profit margins, and budget targets while overseeing the sales and marketing budget spending variances.

  • Oversee pricing methods and strategies and apply competitive intelligence and/or market conditions to review prices of products on the market.

  • Review gross margins and performances with the A.V.P. Egg Sales and Operations periodically

  • Oversee the sustained profitability and competitiveness of the fertile egg business.

  • Develop the relevant international marketing plans to strategically drive sales and grow the market share of the fertile egg business.

  • Direct and determine employment, promotions, termination, and other needed actions.

  • Secure workforce commitment and employee engagement at all levels.

  • Provide support to staff via insight to develop relevant and strategically sound communication platforms for execution across your segment/channel.

  • Keep abreast of all technological advancements/trends within the industry.

  • Perform other functions as assigned from time to time.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of purchasing patterns by product, area, and customer type.

  • Knowledge of marketing research techniques.

  • Ability to take a broad view of issues and events and have an understanding of their long-term impact or implications.

Education and Experience

  • At least eight (8) years of experience in Agri-Business or trading at the managerial level.

  • International travel experience.

  • Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), or related educational experience.

  • Thorough knowledge of Customs regulations and procedures.
