


About the Role
The Automation and Controls Specialist troubleshoots, maintains, and optimizes automated lines and control loops while addressing mechanical, technical, and electrical issues.
Key Activities
Troubleshoot, program, and maintain plant PLC-based control systems and industrial automation frameworks.
Assess and resolve electrical, electronic, and technical component failures across all production areas.
Support operations by ensuring automated systems align with FDA, EPA, and SQF food safety certification standards.
Collaborate closely with the broader maintenance team to minimize downtime on high-speed packaging and conveyor lines.
Preferred Skills
Strong proficiency in industrial electronics, electrical systems, and PLC troubleshooting.
Previous experience operating within a regulated food manufacturing or bakery environment is heavily targeted.
Education and Experience
Trade school certificate or technical degree required.
5+ years of hands-on experience as an automation, controls, or instrumentation technician.
