About the Role
The Sr Assembler will be responsible for safety, housekeeping (5S), quality, line flow, and daily KPIs, while also serving as a trainer and mentor within the assigned area.
Key Activities
Maintain daily attendance logs and review workstation manning to meet production schedules.
Ensure team members follow defined assembly procedures.
Identify training needs, cross-train, and mentor team members.
Lead and participate in daily Tier meetings.
Foster effective communication and keep the team informed on company updates.
Develop and lead daily safety focus discussions.
Maintain 5S standards for cleanliness and part presentation.
Monitor PPE adherence and safety equipment; report issues promptly.
Identify and process non-conforming material within 48 hours.
Complete process audits.
Document and retrain employees with recurring quality issues.
Escalate quality concerns to supervisors and the Quality team.
Coordinate and confirm daily production schedules with the production planner.
Maintain the hour-by-hour production board and track exceptions.
Monitor pitch and identify issues proactively.
Ensure part pick lists are submitted by the end of the shift.
Preferred Skills
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
Availability for mandatory overtime and flexible hours, including short-notice scheduling.
Blueprint reading proficiency.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
5–8 years of relevant assembly experience.
IPC Certification required.
