


About the Role
Corrugated Supervisor leads packaging production, ensuring safety, quality, equipment efficiency, waste reduction, and target achievement.
Key Activities
Supervise daily production activities to ensure customer orders are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
Lead, coach, train, and develop production employees while maintaining a positive and accountable work environment.
Assign manpower and coordinate staffing to maximize productivity and equipment utilization.
Monitor production performance, machine efficiency, downtime, scrap, waste, and labor utilization.
Ensure products meet established quality specifications and customer requirements.
Oversee corrugator and converting operations, including printing, slotting, die-cutting, folding, gluing, stitching, and related processes.
Monitor raw material usage, including linerboard, medium, inks, adhesives, and other production supplies.
Identify production problems and work with Maintenance and Engineering to resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime.
Ensure proper machine setup, changeovers, and operating procedures are followed.
Track and communicate key production metrics, including throughput, efficiency, waste, downtime, and quality.
Conduct shift meetings and communicate production priorities, safety expectations, quality issues, and operational updates.
Coordinate with Production Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Shipping to maintain smooth workflow.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, cost reduction, waste reduction, and operational efficiency.
Ensure employees follow all company policies, OSHA requirements, safety procedures, and housekeeping standards.
Investigate production, safety, and quality issues and implement appropriate corrective actions.
Maintain accurate production records, reports, and documentation.
Cross-train employees to ensure adequate coverage for critical production positions.
Support preventive maintenance activities and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
Preferred Skills
Basic computer skills; experience with ERP/MES production systems preferred.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or college coursework preferred.
3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Corrugated packaging experience strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of corrugated manufacturing and converting processes.
Experience with corrugators, flexographic printing, die-cutting, folder-gluers, stitchers, or related equipment preferred.
