


About the Role
The Business Development Representative generates net-new business by identifying, prospecting, qualifying, and converting targeted Ideal Customer Profile prospects into new customers.
Key Activities
Identify and pursue prospective customers that align with the Ideal Customer Profile.
Build and maintain a pipeline of net-new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, referrals, trade shows, networking, and market research.
Conduct proactive outreach to prospective customers through phone, email, LinkedIn, events, and other approved channels.
Qualify prospects by understanding their business needs, buying process, timeline, decision-makers, and fit with products and services.
Meet or exceed assigned quarterly and annual new logo acquisition goals.
Create and manage qualified opportunities in CRM, ensuring accurate activity tracking, next steps, opportunity stage, and projected close dates.
Schedule and lead introductory conversations with prospective customers to understand needs and position value proposition.
Partner with Sales Management to develop targeted territory, market, and account penetration strategies.
Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, competitive activity, and market opportunities to support new customer acquisition.
Represent the company professionally at trade shows, industry events, customer visits, and networking opportunities.
Attend 8-10 major conferences or trade shows per year, typically 3-4 days per event, and generate a targeted number of qualified leads from each event based on event size, audience fit, and pre-event goals.
Provide Sales Management with regular (weekly) updates on prospecting activity, pipeline development, market feedback, and new business opportunities.
Perform the administrative, organizational, and sales tasks necessary to achieve assigned quarterly and annual new logo acquisition goals, including timely follow-up, CRM updates, pipeline maintenance, and preparation for prospect meetings.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of CRM and/or ERP software a plus.
Knowledge of craft beverage industry a plus.
Exhibit a positive and professional attitude to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Education and Experience
Minimum of four (4) years of proven success in mid-market and enterprise level business development sales.
Must be able to demonstrate substantial experience in B2B new-business development, prospecting, pipeline management, and consistent quota attainment quarterly and yearly.
Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or a relevant field preferred.
