About the Role

The Production Supervisor will oversee daily operations within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. This hands-on leader will be responsible for safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement for a team of 10–12 production associates.

Key Activities

Employee Safety

  • Reinforce and ensure full compliance with all OSHA standards, including employee safety trainings, certifications, and documentation.

  • Promote a proactive safety culture and lead daily safety talks and audits.

Employee Engagement

  • Drive and achieve Employee Engagement KPI targets.

  • Motivate, coach, and develop team members to achieve operational goals.

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work environment.

Food Safety & Quality

  • Ensure full compliance with USDA, FDA, and SQF standards for food safety and quality.

  • Maintain strong working relationships with USDA Inspectors, addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.

  • Support HACCP and Food Safety programs through training, monitoring, and documentation.

Production Oversight

  • Oversee daily production schedules to ensure on-time and efficient operations.

  • Monitor KPIs, troubleshoot issues, and recommend process improvements.

  • Provide recommendations to leadership regarding staffing needs based on production demand and budget alignment.

Cost & Yield Management

  • Monitor and control production costs, minimising waste and maximising yield.

  • Track and report on cost-related KPIs to ensure alignment with company goals.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong understanding of SQF and GMP practices.

  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and develop diverse teams.

Education and Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in food manufacturing (supervisory or lead role preferred).

  • Bilingual – fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written) required.

  • USDA/FDA-regulated facility experience required.

  • Food Service and HACCP certifications required.
