


About the Role
The Production Manager will have a proven track record of successfully managing large teams in the food industry, along with a deep understanding of FSMA, FDA compliance, and familiarity with BRC standards and SAP systems.
Key Activities
Oversee the daily operations of the packaging facilities, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Lead and manage a team of 80-100 associates through 4 supervisors, providing guidance, support, and accountability through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Ensure all processing and packaging equipment is in optimal working condition, working closely with maintenance teams to schedule repairs and prevent downtime.
Implement and maintain FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act) and FDA (Food and Drug Administration) regulations, ensuring compliance at all times.
Utilize knowledge of BRC (British Retail Consortium) standards to manage quality and safety certifications.
Drive continuous improvement efforts in production processes, focusing on operational efficiency, waste reduction, and employee development.
Collaborate with quality control, supply chain, and engineering teams to address any production issues and optimize overall performance.
Use SAP systems for production tracking, inventory management, and reporting.
Serve as a mentor and coach to supervisors, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and growth.
Analyze production data to identify trends, address challenges, and make data-driven decisions to improve efficiency and output.
Preferred Skills
In-depth knowledge of FSMA, FDA a must and BRC regulations highly preferred.
Proficiency in SAP for production and inventory management highly preferred.
Demonstrated success in managing large teams and holding supervisors accountable through KPIs.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
5+ years of experience in production management within the food industry, with a strong focus on packaging operations.
