About the Role

The Packaging Designer will develop innovative, cost-effective, visually appealing, and structurally sound corrugate packaging. The position requires the ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Activities

  • Collaborate with customers, sales team, vendors, and other design team members to determine needs, develop effective programs, and communicate project deliverables and status.

  • Ability to complete tasks related to corrugated to structural design of corrugated packaging.

  • Ideation/concept development for existing and new customers.

  • Convey concepts with Artios or other media.

  • Deliver end products on time, consistently meeting deadlines.

  • Demonstrate ability to exercise independent judgement.

  • Multi-task in a fast-moving environment.

  • Creates samples and mock-ups for customer approval utilising various knife tools, Kongsberg cutting tables, and digital printers.

  • Demonstrate a keen sense of detail. Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policy and procedures.

  • Create BOMs, POGs, Assembly Instructions, CAPE, and any other related packet items.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of print production, tooling, corrugated machinery, and production.

  • Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Packing Design, or equivalent experience.

  • 3-5 years of experience in corrugated carton design disciplines or similar.

  • Detailed experience in packaging design, packaging machinery, carton converting operations, and carton testing for designated product line(s).
