About the Role
The Packaging Designer will develop innovative, cost-effective, visually appealing, and structurally sound corrugate packaging. The position requires the ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Activities
Collaborate with customers, sales team, vendors, and other design team members to determine needs, develop effective programs, and communicate project deliverables and status.
Ability to complete tasks related to corrugated to structural design of corrugated packaging.
Ideation/concept development for existing and new customers.
Convey concepts with Artios or other media.
Deliver end products on time, consistently meeting deadlines.
Demonstrate ability to exercise independent judgement.
Multi-task in a fast-moving environment.
Creates samples and mock-ups for customer approval utilising various knife tools, Kongsberg cutting tables, and digital printers.
Demonstrate a keen sense of detail. Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policy and procedures.
Create BOMs, POGs, Assembly Instructions, CAPE, and any other related packet items.
Preferred Skills
Knowledge of print production, tooling, corrugated machinery, and production.
Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design, Packing Design, or equivalent experience.
3-5 years of experience in corrugated carton design disciplines or similar.
Detailed experience in packaging design, packaging machinery, carton converting operations, and carton testing for designated product line(s).
