


About the Role
The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing new business, converting inquiries into revenue, and maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships. Working closely with the Managing Director, the Sales Manager will develop key accounts and drive revenue growth across the East Coast territory.
Key Activities
Drive revenue growth by prospecting, qualifying, and securing new accounts within target markets.
Build and manage a pipeline through lead generation, outreach, presentations, and follow-up.
Represent the company at customer meetings, trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
Maintain and grow existing accounts through strong relationship management and commercial follow-through.
Align customer needs with the client's technical and operational capabilities to maximise value and profitability for both parties.
Support the development and execution of sales strategy and regional growth initiatives.
Track performance against targets and maintain accurate reporting, including weekly/monthly activity and results reports.
Maintain a comprehensive contact and account database and adhere to a sales reporting system.
Travel as required to support customer engagement and territory development, primarily within the East Coast region.
Preferred Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver persuasive presentations.
Strong organisation, follow-through, and comfort operating in a high-travel, customer-facing role.
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of B2B sales experience in hydrocolloids, guar gum, and/or functional ingredient blends.
Proven experience selling into one or more of the following: food ingredients, paper, cosmetics, or chemical ingredients.
