About the Role

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing the maintenance staff, overseeing the maintenance program budget, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Activities

  • Directs the work of all Maintenance and Facilities teams

  • Leads, mentors, engages, and develops teams to maximise their contributions, including recruiting, assessing, training, coaching, and managing performance

  • Consults with the VP of Manufacturing to create long-range operating and manufacturing goals specific to the needs of the organisation.

  • Function as a key member driving cost improvement measures to include equipment modifications and new capital investments, to reduce the overall cost of goods and improve machine and operator efficiencies

  • Ensures individual and team performance meet objectives and client expectations

  • Plans and leads daily team briefings

  • Develops, implements, and oversees PM schedules on all equipment

  • Ensure consistent adherence to OSHA, Federal, State, and local safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tag out, Arc Flash, and proper PPE for all jobs

  • Work with outside contractors and vendors as necessary to best accomplish maintenance departmental goals

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to read blueprints, schematic diagrams, and ladder logic. Ability to program and modify PLC programs

  • Excellent computer skills, ability to use Microsoft Office suite, Cad, and other software packages

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field or a combination of education and experience managing maintenance or engineering departments

  • 5 years of experience in a maintenance role in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment

  • 3 years of experience managing maintenance team members
