About the Role
The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for managing the maintenance staff, overseeing the maintenance program budget, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Activities
Directs the work of all Maintenance and Facilities teams
Leads, mentors, engages, and develops teams to maximise their contributions, including recruiting, assessing, training, coaching, and managing performance
Consults with the VP of Manufacturing to create long-range operating and manufacturing goals specific to the needs of the organisation.
Function as a key member driving cost improvement measures to include equipment modifications and new capital investments, to reduce the overall cost of goods and improve machine and operator efficiencies
Ensures individual and team performance meet objectives and client expectations
Plans and leads daily team briefings
Develops, implements, and oversees PM schedules on all equipment
Ensure consistent adherence to OSHA, Federal, State, and local safety policies and procedures, including lockout/tag out, Arc Flash, and proper PPE for all jobs
Work with outside contractors and vendors as necessary to best accomplish maintenance departmental goals
Preferred Skills
Ability to read blueprints, schematic diagrams, and ladder logic. Ability to program and modify PLC programs
Excellent computer skills, ability to use Microsoft Office suite, Cad, and other software packages
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field or a combination of education and experience managing maintenance or engineering departments
5 years of experience in a maintenance role in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment
3 years of experience managing maintenance team members
